WHAT WE DO FOR KIDS

You're invited to join us July 22-26 for this amazing journey with Paul the missionary!  The adventure begins at 5:45 - 8:30 p.m. at the Holly Chapel Come and enjoy games, crafts, food, singing and music from the marketplace shops every night.  Pre-registration is June 29 through July 20 in the church courtyard after the worship services.  The first 30 kids to register will be first to ride the pony at Athens VBS! Click here for the registration form.

Imagine leaving a life of privilege and power to face angry mobs, painful imprisonment, and chain-breaking earthquakes--all to spread the life-changing truth ofGod's love.  Leartn the jaw-dropping story of the Apostle Paul straight from Paul himself!  In an ancient "anything goes" culture, Paul will inspire kids to share the truth of God's immeasurable love today!

Vallejo Drive has created sacred spaces for children ages 4-12 to worship God. After hearing the children’s story  in the sanctuary worship service, kids are invited to one of three age-appropriate spaces where they interact with  a scripture story through the creative storytelling of their worship leader and the hands-on crafts and activities  that offer children the opportunity to reflect and create in response to what the Bible says. The worship space for  ages 4-5 is in room 206; the space for ages 6-8 is in room 204—both rooms are on the upper level of the Education  Wing. The worship space for ages 9-12 is in the chapel with entrance on the lower level.

These spaces are designed for children who are comfortable without their parents’ supervision so that the entire  room’s focus can be centered on God and His story without distraction. There are activity bags available at the  Hostess Desk in the lobby for children who would rather stay with their parents in the sanctuary. For more  information on children’s church, contact the church office or Jenelle Westerbeck Anderson, Director.

Children who are interested in developing their vocal skills and learning how to sing in a choir are invited to join the  children’s choir.  Thirty-minute rehearsals happen most Saturday’s after worship in the chapel and the choir performs  for sanctuary worship on the third Saturday of each month.   For more information, contact Jenelle Westerbeck Anderson, Director
